This is a page where snippets and pieces of sea turtle information will find a home.

3rd Australian Sea Turtle Symposium


The Venue:

Territory Wildlife Park (TWP) Berry Springs (54 km or 45 minutes by car south of Darwin airport).
The Territory Wildlife Park provides a low-cost, high-value and enjoyable environment for presenters and attendees.
The area is conducive to formal presentations yet provides many areas for smaller groups can chat in a natural setting.
There is even an area for sitting around a campfire!

Accommodation:

The TPW has two camp areas (http://www.territorywildlifepark.com.au/education/camp.shtml). Camp Woollybutts is just metres from the presentation area.

The camp ground can cater for at least 100 people (http://www.territorywildlifepark.com.au/pdf/camp_flyer.pdf).

There is alternative accommodation (camping, caravan sites (power and non-powered), cabins and villas at
Tumbling Waters (http://www.tumblingwatersholidaypark.com.au/) and
The Lakes (http://www.lakesresortcaravanpark.com.au/) within 8 km of the Territory Wildlife Park.

If you require Hotel accommodation the Rydges in Palmerston (http://www.rydges.com/accommodation/darwin-nt/rydges-palmerston-darwin/welcome/) and

are only 20 minutes away by car.

Dates:

Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 August 2016.

 With arrivals accommodated on the Sunday evening and departures at the end of the symposium on Wednesday afternoon.
These dates avoid the start of the Top End build-up in September and its associated insect pests.

Facilities:

The TWP has an undercover but open air presentation area that opens onto grassy lawns and shady trees.
The facility is equipped for data projection and sound. The presentation area is beside the restaurant.

Catering:
